Miracle in the Desert

Kimmy and I spent the last 14 days at www.Sanoviv.com in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. We met dozens of people from all over the world and became famous friends with a few.

People come to Sanoviv to treat everything from late-stage cancer to obesity to Lyme disease. For some, it is their last hope to stay in this world with their families. For others, it is the last hope to reverse decades of pain, suffering, and endless visits to the doctor.

Sanoviv is a magical place right on the ocean. It looks and feels like a 5-star resort. But inside are the warmest, happiest, most caring people we have ever met. They have the best and the brightest from Mexico’s health care system ... all types of traditional doctors, dentists, massage therapists, nutritionists, chiropractors, psychologists, mind-body experts, colon therapists and, of course, personal trainers.

The food is perfectly designed for health. It tastes pretty good, often very good. But it is not designed to compete with IHOP. You won’t find any sugar, gluten, wheat or dairy there. Everything is organic and locally grown.

They've invested millions in the latest medical equipment, from hyperbaric chambers to electronic detox machines and some things you just cannot find in the United States.

We watched people arrive in wheelchairs, walking like they were 100 years old, the grimace of pain from bodies not strong enough for a long trip. We watched them leave standing tall and walking straight, with peace and joy in their hearts.

People apparently get their bodies in shape to get healed or in remission here ... at, of course, a great expense usually not covered by insurance.

I don’t know for sure their medical details. But everyone here is so open, so safe, and so hopeful that they share beautifully with anyone who asks about their health journey. One of the first questions we learned to ask was, “What are you in for?”

What we are thankful for at this stage in our lives is our health. We learned some fascinating things about our own bodies that may help us live vital lives well past 100. I wonder what any of us would pay for an extra five years if we knew we were terminal. What would we pay for just one year?

Yet that is not the way life works, is it? We don’t get to tack on years at the end no matter what we are willing to pay. Not even a billionaire can buy another day at the end. But all of us can buy months and years, even a few years, before the end by just giving our bodies a chance to heal. Hippocrates said it best: “Let food be thy medicine.”

Too often food is my party drug of choice. How about you?

I guess it is fitting that I write this a day before we are all about to pig out on a ton of sugar, dairy, wheat, and meats injected with hormones and antibiotics. (Sorry to ruin it for you. 😊)

I am thankful that Kimmy and I have our health. Thankful that we have the wealth to be able to come to a place like that for two weeks. Thankful for the decisions we have made along the way to lift us to this level. Thankful for the mentors who influenced us.

What are you thankful for this year?

P.S. If you come to Sanoviv, tell them Richard and Kimmy sent you. They believe in Network Marketing down there. 😊

P.P.S. My blogs are, for me, a conversation. I rant for a bit and then … if so inspired, you respond. Your comments close the loop of conversation. They let me know I was heard. They let me know I contributed something … or not. I encourage you to close the loop … or open a new one and say something.

Richard,

Thank you for sharing your travels with us! It looks like you have visited some great destinations. I am thankful for the relationship that I have with Jesus. Thankful for my family, my health, and to have completed my 26 year/crop season. God has Blessed me with the opportunity to be in Agriculture and with the talent to grow the food for so many. What a Blessing! Network Marketing made a tremendous impact on my life 18 years ago. I am thankful that something so different came into my life because it was so greatly needed to get me on track. Thank you for the great work and resources that you provide to rebuild and maintain a positive reputation and outlook for the great Network Marketing industry.

I am reading this blog after devouring a delicious Thanksgiving feast…and I am not feeling guilty! :)
I am so thankful that as a family and extended family we were able to gather in person and laugh, share stories, measure the grandkids growth and pass the mashed potatoes (which is nearly impossible on zoom). Truly grateful for our good health and the ability to grow and learn every day.
Happy Thanksgiving and bless you for all you do!

Just briefly, I am touched by your wonderful experience in Sanoviv…and your lovely expression of all the benefits it brings those with open minds & hearts. Today, for me, was especially sweet—I spent several hours with a daughter and a a granddaughter…and a one year “old” great granddaughter. What could be better! Thank you, Richard, for all the information and inspiration you offer us. You are definitely, following my 44 years in network marketing, my most inspired hero! Yes, you are inspired!!!

Richard,
Thanks for sharing yours and your brides journey through Sanoviv. As one who is not a fan of traditional health care, in particular the seemingly declining quality of care and the default of the bandaid effect to cover problems, it was great to learn of this place that’s approach lines up
With how I perceive medical care should be. I am hoping to go there soon!

I am thankful for my God, who saved me and the relationship I have with Him. I am thankful for my husband, who has walked by my side for almost 30 years. I am thankful for our children. I am thankful for Network Marketing and our business which has allowed us to serve at church, give freely, travel, be home together to build our dreams, cruise our classic cars, grow a garden, and so much more. Each day, is a new day and blessings are abundant. One only need look for them, they are everywhere!

Blessings to you Richard. Thank you for you class, Momentum Masterclass. So much great stuff there! A real game changer!

Happy thanksgiving and safe travels!

So much to be thankful for! Our health, for sure (although I’d love to notch it up with a trip to someplace like Sanoviv). I was my Mom’s primary caretaker for these final two years of her life, and definitely ‘strayed’ from our normal routine of eating cleanly. But honestly, Richard, one of the things I’m most thankful for is that during these two years, I learned about you and your coaching. I wasn’t able to implement much, given the time demands of my Mom, but I learned and truly integrated your perspective and so much of your mindset. I’m thankful that you have committed to investing in people you don’t even know, and sharing with an intention of transforming lives. It has lifted me up, and the future is looking bright. While I am definitely grieving my Mom, I’m also at a place where the future is exciting. It’s a lovely place to be :) Thank you!

I’m so happy and thankful for all of the lives that have touched my life, and the lives that I have touched. Like network marketing, health, and life in general, it seems that most of us learn, unlearn relearn a better way. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Richard

Sandy and I went Sanoviv about 15 years ago and had a similar experience what a great place. It changed our perception of health and what proactive measures that we could take giving us back control of our own health. I so happy to hear that you and Kimmy had a great experience. Have an amazing day

Regards

Joe
