Have you ever figured out where you would be if you could ever string together 90 days of consecutively doing your SDA (Single Daily Action) or DMO (Daily Method of Operation)?
Imagine being so consistent that you outperformed 999 out of 1,000. Imagine vaulting yourself into rarefied air … doing something hardly anyone has EVER done.
For nearly 87 straight days she rowed against the wind, the currents, and the waves, but mostly against potential mind crimes. For 87 days straight she stared at nothing but ocean. She was lonely, wet, tired, hungry, bored, and in pain. But mostly she was motivated to row anyway. Row 8-10 hours a day. Row with the sharks. Yes, sharks, right next to her little 20 ft. rowboat.
And bad things did happen. Twice she capsized, being thrown completely out of the boat, once in the middle of the night. Both times she flipped the boat right side in the middle of what might have been a hurricane. She lost food and electronics. All of her clothes were wet. These were catastrophic setbacks. And yet she rowed on.
She could have bailed. She could have called for a rescue. No one would have blamed her. Every day, probably every hour, she had to spin a story of rowing, rowing, and rowing, with the ultimate victory as the end game.
Every time I think of Lia, I think of those of us who are rowing for a million-dollar business. And all we have to do is contact one or two people a day … but every day for 90 days. Our lives are not at risk. We are not in pain. We are not hungry. Our definition of tired and scared cannot even be muttered in the same sentence as hers.
We want the same kind of victory, but are we willing to be consistent no matter what? Maybe 1 out of 1,000 of us are.
Funny thing is, anyone of us can be the one. You can be the one. It's just a choice. We are either eating fear and procrastination, or it is eating us.

Consistency is nothing more than a mind game … mind over matters.
Matters of distractions of all kinds. Mind over excuses. Mind over procrastination. Mind over worry. Mind over negativity. Mind over fear. If I paid you $1,000 a day to do your Single Daily Action, could you? Would you? Then you can. Lia Ditton is a role model we all would be well served to keep front of mind. Perhaps put her picture on your vision board. Lia is a long-distance ocean rower … solo rower. She rows the oceans of the world by herself.Recently Lia set the world record for a woman rowing from the west coast of the U.S. to Hawaii.
